Xiaomi YU7 electric vehicle entered the Chinese market on June 26. The model achieved amazing success by receiving 240,000 lock-in orders within 18 hours. Three days after launch, this number rose to an estimated 280,800-315,900 orders. As of July 6, the delivery waiting time for Xiaomi YU7 was 45-62 weeks.

The first batch of Xiaomi YU7 electric vehicles were delivered to owners on July 6. These people managed to reserve the car for 20,000 yuan ($2,790) within the first minute after sales began. Xiaomi Auto shared on social media that the first batch of owners of YU7 were divided into two groups. The first category is enthusiasts who pursue car performance. The second group includes moms and office workers who buy this electric car as a daily driver.

Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi Motors, attended the first delivery ceremony. He took photos with the owners and personally thanked them for their support. The first batch of owners also shared the reasons why they chose YU7. Some of them emphasized the styling and performance of this SUV, while others called the car safe and suitable for family use. There is no information on how many Xiaomi YU7 crossovers were delivered on the first day.

The Xiaomi YU7 is a large electric crossover with stylish styling and dimensions of 4999/199/1608 mm. The wheelbase stretches to 3000 mm. The interior adopts a five-seat layout. Its center console has a large 16.1-inch touch screen, two 80-watt charging pads, and a Xiaomi HyperVision 1.1-meter screen under the windshield.

The entry-level Xiaomi YU7 uses an electric motor at the rear axle with a peak power of 235 kW (315 hp) and a torque of 528 Nm. It is powered by a 96.2 kWh LFP battery pack for 830 km under CLTC conditions. The acceleration time of this variant is 5.88 seconds. The Xiaomi YU7 Pro offers all-wheel drive with two 365 kW (489 hp) motors. Thanks to the 96.2 kWh battery, this electric car can travel 770 km on a single charge.
The Xiaomi YU7 Max also offers a dual-motor AWD system. However, its peak power output reaches 508 kW (681 hp) and 866 Nm. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds. This version is equipped with a larger ternary NMC battery with a capacity of 101.7 kWh. The Xiaomi YU7 Max has a CLTC range of 760 km.
