Chery officially launched its "large family flagship SUV" - Tiggo 9L at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. The new car will be equipped with three motors and Chery Falcon 700 advanced driving assistance system. Although the name is similar to the Chery Tiggo 9 currently on sale, the two cars are not related.
According to Chery officials, the H-shaped headlights and taillights represent "hero" and "home" respectively, and are combined with the letter logo in the middle. The two headlights are connected by LED lamp beads above the logo. The letter logo is also located in the middle of the rear, between the two taillights.
From the side, the Chery Tiggo 9L has wide wheel eyebrows, side steps, roof racks, and is equipped with 20-inch multi-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. The on-board Falcon 700 advanced driving assistance system will receive input from the roof lidar and front fender cameras.
The power system will be equipped with Chery Kunpeng's super hybrid CDM-S system, which consists of three electric motors. The system will be equipped with CDC (continuous damping control) variable damping shock absorbers and support tank turning.
The Kunpeng system is divided into "high energy saving" CDM/CEM, "high performance" CDM-S/CEM-S and "strong off-road" CDM-O/CEM-O. CDM/CEM will be installed on Fengyun A8, T8, T9, and Shanhai L6, L7, L9 and other models. CDM-S/CEM-S will be installed on Yaoguang CDM, VX CDM, Fengyun T10, A9 and other models. CDM-O/CEM-O will be installed on Shanhai T2, Zongheng G700 and other models.
In terms of interior, Chery claims that it will be equipped with an "AI smart cockpit" system with a built-in 3-nanometer chip. There are three screens on the dashboard, namely the embedded dashboard, the central control screen and the co-pilot entertainment screen. There are hardcore elements such as armrests in front of the driver and co-pilot seats.
At present, the launch date and price range information have not been officially announced.
